We’re SO excited to share Gloss Girl S’s epic journey that found her here at Gloss. We’re so proud of you S! And so stoked that you chose Gloss to be a part of your journey! <3
My boudoir session was part of a journey in which I had to remind myself to commit to self love. There was a point when I felt so discouraged and overwhelmed about getting myself together that the thought of cancelling crossed my mind. Thankfully, I pushed those discouraging thoughts aside and decided to commit. That’s when the magic started.
When I finally committed to doing me, I listened to myself and found my voice. I gained a sense of expression and exercised the privilege to explore myself. These are things that I find we, as humans, tend to either forget to do or we lose touch with as we become the women we set out to become.
I know it is quite typical to feel nervous before a session, but for me, the jitters that woke me that morning was because I wanted–so much–to be my genuine self and “leave it all on the floor” hoping to have it captured by the camera. I wanted the camera to see me for who I am. So I set out that day to be vulnerable and real. It turned out to be exactly what I needed.
Commit yourself. Boudoir shoots are one of those things that are easily pushed aside because you’re waiting for a better time to do it. We all know the million reasons why you might want to put it off, but instead, if you look for the reason of why you want to do it, you might find it empowering to listen to what enables you. Own you.” ~Gloss Girl S
