“I could go on and on about why I decided to do a boudoir session, but I’ll try and keep it short and sweet. I was initially drawn to the experience because it sounded like a fun time- I mean, wearing lingerie and being dolled up just for myself, heck yeah! It also was a beautiful way to celebrate my body and myself, and a way to capture this moment of self love to cherish forever!  I was drawn to Gloss because of the community I saw on their Instagram; everyone was so supportive and their message of empowering women and making them feel confident and sexy really shined through. I was ridiculously excited before my shoot. I knew I was in good hands for my first boudoir session, and I knew it was going to be a lot of fun! I surprisingly also felt very emotional right before; I was sitting in the coffee shop across the street just thinking about how my high school self would not believe the confident woman I’ve become. The photoshoot felt like a milestone for me, and I was very proud of myself.”

“My favourite thing about the shoot is hard to pick, but I’d have to say just working with Marcee. She made the experience really special as she was so supportive and fun. Considering it’s only you and the photographer in the room, I think somebody who makes you feel comfortable plays a crucial role in the experience. One of my favourite memories is taking the photo of me lying down, arching my back on the floor. As my eyes were closed, I ran my hand down the side of my body releasing a big breathe. I can’t put my finger on it, but there was just something very serene about that moment and that exhale.”

“I would tell other women that are considering a shoot with Gloss just to do it!  A boudoir session is so much more than just getting sexy photos (even though who doesn’t want those?!)
