We did a little Q&A with Gloss Girl M about her experience at Gloss:
Why did you decide to do a boudoir session? “I did it first and foremost for myself and secondly as a wedding gift to my fiancé!”
What made you decide to book your boudoir session with Gloss instead of someone else? “I was already looking at boudoir studios in the Vancouver area and when I went to the Brock House Wedding Show, I ended up meeting the Gloss studio manager. It was because of her, and her enthusiasm and positivity that I decided to book with Gloss. I loved her energy and how she portrayed the Gloss Girl experience to me.”
How were you feeling before your shoot? Any thoughts going through your head? “Excited! I was ready to go, ready to rock it.”
What was your favourite thing about your shoot? “I loved how the photographer, was so creative and made lots of suggestions for poses. She made me feel as comfortable as I would in my own bedroom. I loved getting dressed in my outfits and seeing my inspiration and hardwork come to life!”
What would you tell other women considering doing a boudoir shoot? “I would encourage other women to do a boudoir shoot because it is so empowering, and embraces femininity, which I think needs to be celebrated more often. Gloss has a beautiful and tasteful way of capturing and documenting your natural beauty.”
What is the best memory from your photo shoot day? “My best memory is seeing myself! Makeup freshly done, hair full of volume and curls, corset tight with thigh-high’s nice and taught. I was standing tall in the changing room, looking at myself in the mirror, with “red-bottomed” heels on and thinking to myself, “Damn, why didn’t I do this before, I look amazing!”
